I couldn’t sleep last night, so I went window-shopping online for umbrellas.
I do need a new umbrella. I will probably get a standard, staid black one.
But I’ve long wanted a Union Jack umbrella to make me feel as though I’m somewhere a bit more anglophilic than central Oklahoma.
This one reminds me of the umbrella my mother had when I was small, and I am terribly nostalgic. It also strikes me that using an umbrella like this would make it much easier to see when I walked in the rain.
One of my favorite things – and my favorite flower – is the sunflower. What a bright and cheery umbrella to open on a grey, soggy day!
But perhaps I should indeed take a more classic route – a solid color. However, what if I chose green?
